Cashmere sweaters and flip flops? Yes please!

Bella is her own person, and she has no qualms with expressing that in her clothing choices as well. Her eclectic mix of items are usually representative of her needing layers for warmth and comfort as she dances ballet full time. She has no rules, which means if she feels like a cashmere sweater with flip flops, then she wears a cashmere sweaters with flip flops!

As her mother, I couldn’t be more proud. Our life motto is life is hard enough without a bunch of arbitrary rules thrown in.

So here is Bella, rocking a classic Ralph Lauren scoop neck black cashmere sweater, mid rise distressed jeans by Just USA and suede flower flip flops in a dusty orchid color that are from a previous season, but I’ve had my eye on these similar sandals from Sundance. The earrings are vintage screw on earrings that have been in our family for generations and the sunglasses are Lilly Pulitzer. The belt is a little boy’s dress pant belt as she wanted a slick black and we didn’t find one in our closet, so off we went to raid the boys’. Her ring and bracelet are both Free People.

We’d love to hear about your crazy style mash ups that work for you. It was a warm day this day, but the restaurant that we were eating at was cold, and Bella’s feet were sore from being in pointe shoes all day, so the last things she felt like was wearing a tight fitting heel.
